The Pioneers Alliance is seeking two stewardship technicians for our 2018 field season.

The technicians will be part of a small team responsible for gathering rangeland health and riparian function data within the Southern Pioneers Landscape. The Field Technician will also assist with data QA/QC and data management associated with the Pioneers Rangeland Assessment Project. The majority of the Technician’s time will be spent working in the field, both alone and as part of a small team. This position requires working in rugged terrain and occasional extreme weather conditions. This is a 35 hour per week, position beginning the week of May 21 and ending mid-August, 2018. Must have valid driver’s license and safe driving record. Off-site housing provided in Hailey, ID. The idea candidates will have a background and interest in conservation,  to participate in rangeland health and stewardship projects. These positions will offer an opportunity to learn about conservation partnerships and range management in a hands-on setting.

The Pioneers Alliance is a partnership of non-profit organizations, landowners, public agencies, and community members that preserve natural resources and cultural heritage of Idaho’s Pioneers Mountains – Craters of the Moon landscape. The positions will be located in scenic south-central Idaho, near Sun Valley and the Sawtooth Wilderness Area.
